Back!

January 30th, 2006 by Jaeson

I came back from Canada this morning at 5:30 AM. It’s good to be back, but Canada was pretty awesome. I met a lot of cool people, and the food is unbelievable. Even though they can drop the prices…

The snowboarding was insane, they had the nicest trails, some going for like 5+ minutes even if you are bombing it. The TV sucks there, everything is in french. I didn’t stay ni my room for that long, maybe just to sleep, but it was pretty much partying/snowboarding for the days. If you are ever planning out a snowboarding trip, make sure to hit up some of the resorts in Canada, it is a sweet experience. Make sure to try a beavertail while you are there.

Shaun White 4-Peats X-Games Slopestyle

January 29th, 2006 by Kevin

The title says it all. Shaun White came out victorious yesterday evening in the first 4-peat in mens X-games history. I say mens because earlier that day Jenna Meyen also 4-peated in women’s slopestyle. Anyway what did it take to win you ask? Nothing much really, just back to back 1080’s like no ones business. He had one of the sickest runs I have ever seen. However I have no doubt that Travis Rice could have taken the gold if he had landed the last trick he attempted. And that trick was the double rodeo… which would have easily defeated the 1080’s if you ask me, Rice was flipping around in the air like crazy but came up short on the rotation.

But yeah Mens Superpipe was tonight; At least the first round of the finals was tonight, now that the top 10 are set they will have another set of finals tomorrow night at 9:00PM EST on ESPN, so be sure to check that out.

But yeah here is the Men’s Slopestyle results… I am not gonna post the women’s because lets face it no one on this site really cares…

1. Shaun White, Carlsbad, California, 95.00
2. Andreas Wiig, Oslo, Norway, 89.00
3. Danny Kass, Mammoth Lakes, California, 86.66
4. Eddie Wall, Rome, Pennsylvania, 85.00
5. Wyatt Caldwell, Sun Valley, Idaho, 78.00
6. Chad Otterstrom, Breckenridge, Colorado, 75.00
7. Eero Niemela, Ojakkala, Finland, 72.33
8. Pat Moore, Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, 67.00
9. Travis Rice, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, 65.33
10. John Jackson, Crowley Lake, California, 62.00
